Today AMD CEO Lisa Su provided some details on the upcoming “Big Navi” Radeon RX 6000 graphics cards. During the Zen 3 live event for the Ryzen 5000 series processors. Lisa didn’t disclose much when it comes to the new release we literally saw 1 slide. Showing the FPS capabilities of the series over 3 games. The slide only said RX 6000 series so we are not even sure if we are looking at the high end or the low end of the series. There is also no details relating to their ray tracing capabilities/performance or the inclusion of the Infinity Cache.
As you can see from the slide. Borderlands 3 on Badass Quality (Ultra) receives 61 FPS at 4K (3840 x 2160) resolution. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare on Ultra settings recipes 88 and gears of ware 5 receives 73. Unfortunately we don’t even know the exact benchmarks scenes used to gather this information.
Planet 3DNow! made a quick comparison using reviews of the RTX 3080 from Eurogamer (using Founders Edition) and Hexus (using MSI GAMING X TRIO). We currently don’t know what AMD used to get there benchmarks or how much of a effect it will make if they are using one of there new CPU’s on 4K performance.
Here are there results:
AMD didn’t go into much depth but what we do know is that they confirmed to announce the Radeon RX 6000 series on October 28th
