“UltraGear monitors will continue to push the boundaries of monitor technology, leveraging our advanced IPS 1ms GTG display technology to take gaming to even greater heights.”

Jang Ik-hwan, senior vice president and head of the IT business unit of LG Electronics Business Solutions Company.

These are all just claims. As I haven’t had the chance to judge this monitor for myself. But here is a look at the specs to see if this UltraGear 27GN950. Let’s see if it can live up to the hype.

  • Display Type: Nano IPS
  • Screen Size: 27 inches
  • Resolution: 4K Ultra HD (3840×2160)
  • Brightness: 400 nits (typical)
  • Color Gamut: DCI-P3 98 percent
  • Color Bit: 1.07 billion
  • Refresh Rate: 144Hz
  • Response Time: 1ms GtG
  • HDR: VESA DisplayHDR 600
  • Adaptive Sync: FreeSync Premium Pro, NVIDIA G-Sync Compatible

While the response time on the GtG pixels is great this monitor is going to come in at hefty price tag of around $800. Making it way outside of the price point for a Average Gamer. Obviously with new technology these things are more expensive and will come down in price in the future. But if you are looking for a Quick responsive monitor then this might just be the one for you.
