LG has just announced the release of there New UltraGear 144Hz 27″ 4K monitor with 1 MS response time (27GN950). With a 4K resolution and a Nano IPS panel, which has better color and viewing angles compared to other LCD technologies on the market. Also included is there VESA® Display Stream Compression (DSC) Which can deliver virtually lossless 4K UHD images in 10-bit color and 144Hz refresh rate via just a single DisplayPort cable. Giving the user striking visuals and incomparable response times.

These are all just claims. As I haven’t had the chance to judge this monitor for myself. But here is a look at the specs to see if this UltraGear 27GN950. Let’s see if it can live up to the hype.

While the response time on the GtG pixels is great this monitor is going to come in at hefty price tag of around $800. Making it way outside of the price point for a Average Gamer. Obviously with new technology these things are more expensive and will come down in price in the future. But if you are looking for a Quick responsive monitor then this might just be the one for you.
