Intel’s 12 Generation processor is getting closer to launch and with that rumors are coming from left right and center. The latest comes for a little miss-step by MSI. With an announcement, they made today that points at a possible November 4th launch on Intels Alder lake processor.
MSI released a form allowing customers to apply for free upgrade kits on their Core liquid CPU coolers. This DIY upgrade kit will be used to allow customers to attached their coolers to the Intel LGA1700 socket. While MSI didn’t mention the actual release of the upgrade kit users is not allowed to start the application process until November 4th. Previous rumors have stated that the release of Alder lake should be around November 19th. This could still hold true or Intel has decided to release their Alder Lake earlier than expected. At this point, we probably won’t get an official release date until Intel’s Innovation event is scheduled on October 27-28.
Until we get the official launch date from Intel. The 12th generation Alder Lake early rumors suggest that the Intel Core i9 12900K will be a 5ghz boost clock on all cores with a 3.7 GHz base. with a TDP of 125 W. The 12900K will be using 8P+8E cores, P standing for performance with E standing for Efficient. Which is Intel’s new hybrid mix-up with their core system. Also on the lineup is the Core i5 and core i7 Core Which will host an i7 12700K (8P+4E) and the Core i5 12600K (6P+4E) respectively.
With a new socket, we should expect a release of a new motherboard chipset. I mean, after all, you will need something to plug this into. Currently, there is no word yet on the release of the new chipset. But we should expect the new Z690 motherboards to be launch at the same time. With DDR5 specific memory kits.
So if their rumors are correct we will be seeing the new Alder Lake release date in the next month. And more rumors to come as we approach release.
