RTX 3080

The 21 day count down is finally over and Nvidia has released there new line up of RTX GPU’s. The hype was worth it after months and months of speculation. Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang announce the new Flag ship RTX 3080 GPU. With a huge performance jump from the RTX 2080 and at a price point that will put a smile on faces. So Lets go over what we have in store.

The new RTX 3080 will have double the performance of the previous 2080 series. while starting at $699 with the first set of graphics cards going on sale September 17th. This is on par with the pricing for the original RTX 2080. Giving us a increase in performance this is no price increase. The RTX 3080 will have 8704 Cuda Cores and 10 GB VRAM.

The RTX 3070 will have more power then the current RTX 2080 Ti while starting at only $499. Which is a huge leap forward for there lower end of the release. The performance at this price point for anyone without a RTX 2080 Ti is going to make this card there biggest seller. Leading Haung to quote.

The RTX 3070 will have 5888 Cuda cores and 8 GB of VRAM with memory clock speed of 16 GBPS GDDR 6 all at half the price of a 2080 Ti :P.

nVidea also announced the release of the RTX. 3090 the high end GPU that comes in at a whopping $1,499. and is due for release on September 24. Suppose to be able to run 8K gaming at 60 FPS. with over 10K Cuda cores and 24 GB memory.

Obviously nVidea is claiming alot about the new power these amphere cards have and we won’t know anything until there is come proper bench marking is done.

With the release nVidea will be switching connects to power the new line of GPU’s there will be coming with a new 12-pin PCIe adapter. As you can see from the above chart the new RTX 3090 will be using 350 W of power. Most user will probably need a 850 W power supply to power this behemoth.
