Nhenohophach has created a water-cooled Playstation 5 as documented in a youtube video. The designer documented the whole process on his channel which took over two months to complete from creating the customer water block to making a new shell. Which he was able to shrink down the total size of the Playstation while adding some nice RGB lighting.
Nhenohophach was still able to retain some of the visual aspects of the playstation like the folded wing aesthetics. But adding the RBG and a transparent inner section brings the whole machine to life. Yashuhiro Otori explained the the size of the playstation is down to the chunky air cooling that has to be installed. While the water-cooling doesn’t bring down temperatures dramatically (thermal test from 8 min 30 secs onwards) It does reduce the total size and makes the playstation look Amazing.
Nhenhophach tends to commercialize his PS5 liquid cooling and continue to refine it. He has said that such implementations are being worked on and if any interested party wants to get involved should contact him. Another point worth mentioning is that the modder is working to integrate this water cooled PS5 into a PC build somehow. Further details are promised for upcoming videos so we will have to wait and see what he can come up with. But what he has presented so far looks very promising.
